Bhaveen Sheth-Diary of the Single Indian Male- Are you ready to take the responsibility

My Dear Single Indian Male Friends,

Today i will be sharing my thoughts on taking up responsibility, are you ready to take it. When I say responsibility , i mean the responsibility of getting married, responsibility of being a husband, responsibility of being a good father. How many of us are really willing to take up this challenge?????

I guess it is not easy to answer this question. Indian males choose not to answer it and why??? I myself don't know the answer.

Indian Society has conditioned the Indian Males to become another  SHRAVAN, a mythological man who made a lot of sacrifices to serve his parents. Every male child born in India is conditioned right from his childhood to become Shravan and serve his aging parents, his family, the society and god knows what.

We as the Indian Males are not free to live our own lives even if we wish to. So when we reach a marriageable age , our parents start looking out for suitable brides whom we have to marry.

It never happened in my case because i became an Orphan at the age of 19, but when when it came to my friends, they were given no choice

But ask yourself , are you ready to take up this magnanimous responsibility at a young age?? or are you just getting married to make your parents happy???, so that you make them proud grandparents and fulfill the requirements of confirming to the norms of the Indian Society.

One of the major reasons of Marital Discord is that we the Indian males are still not mature enough to get married, that we still need some time to discover ourselves before we embark on the journey of a married life. How many of us really discover ourselves and live our lives completely, the answer will be none.

We get married and become the slave of EMI'S, Mortgage  and other responsibilities of a married life.

So all I would say is that please do not take any decision in haste just to make someone else happy. At the end of the day you are responsible for yourself and for your own happiness.

Take your time and introspect yourself.

This is Bhaveen Sheth signing off for the day, will be back with some more.
